It is a done deal, today the ex-Manchester City player Ferran Torres was announced as an FC Barcelona player, but he is currently injured and has a fracture on his right foot. His evolution has been favorable, and the fracture that has kept him on the sidelines since October may end sooner than expected and leave Ferran available for the Spanish Supercup on January 13.
ESPN announced that the deal is now closed for 62M€ for the 21-year-old men, and has an 842M€ clause. His contract expires in 2027 and will be inscribed in La Liga on January 3 along with Dani Alves.
Manchester City director of football Txiki Begiristain said: "Ferran should be proud of what he has achieved here at Manchester City.
"Last season was his first time in a new country, but he adapted well. He always gave 100%, worked hard for the team, and scored goals which helped us win trophies.
"Injury, unfortunately, prevented him from playing more games this season, but Ferran is a player we have all enjoyed working with and we wish him all the best at Barcelona and for the rest of his career."
Torres asked Guardiola to leave the club since he had a lot of competition to get a starting role. Other attacking players at the Etihad are Grealish, Mahrez, Sterling, Foden, Gabriel Jesus, and Bernardo Silva.
After a long time, Ferran Torres will now return to his home country, and play head to head against his old club Valencia.
