Teams qualified to the UCL round of 16

Yesterday the last match on the Champions League group stage was played, and with this result are the teams qualified to the round of 16 have been sealed. Meet the squads that made it to the knockout stage.

Manchester City: 12 points and qualified first from group A, they made it to the final last year and lost to Chelsea 1-0. The sky blues won 4 games and lost 2.

PSG: Also from group A, they qualified second. Last year they were beaten by Manchester City in the semi-finals. They have 11 points after winning 3 games, tied 2, and losing only 1.

Liverpool: A perfect group stage for Liverpool, 6/6 games won and only conceded 6 goals. They qualified first from group B.

Atlético Madrid: The Spanish team had an agonic qualification with only 7 points, but still they managed to end up second in group B, he won 2 games and tied only 1, meaning he lost 3.

Ajax: With the great Sebastian Haller who scored on every group stage match, Ajax had a perfect group stage and won all 6 games. Last year they didn't make it past the group stage, and now they qualified first from group C.

Sporting: From Portugal Sporting Lisbon had 9 points, same as Dortmund but qualified for goal difference. Both teams won 3 games and lost 3, but Sporting had 2 goals in favor while the Germans had -1.

Real Madrid: 13-time winner of the competition Real Madrid won all games but one against Sheriff at the Bernabéu. 2 of the goals they conceded were in that game, and the other one was against Shakhtar. These great results let them qualify first from group D.

Inter Milan: Sharing group with Real Madrid, Inter had 10 points. They won 3 games and tied 1, and with that result, they qualified second from group D. Last year they got out at the group stage, but this year they move on to the next phase.

Bayern: Another team that had a perfect group stage, they scored on 22 occasions. Last year they lost to PSG in the quarter-final. They made it through group E with no problem.

Benfica: A surprising qualification that was definitely agonic, the Portuguese club knocked out Barcelona and went through with 8 points. They won 2 games, lost 2, and equalized the other 2.

Manchester United: With Cristiano Ronaldo Manchester United scored 11 points during the group stage and ended up first from group F. The Red Devils won 3 games and tied on 2 occasions, and the only time they lost was against Young Boys.

Villarreal: Villarreal was the last team to qualify to the round of 16 since their game against Atalanta was postponed because of the snow. After a win against the Italians, they reached 10 points and then qualified second from group F.

Lille: The French champions, Lille moved on to the next round with 11 points, they were first from group G and only lost 1 game.

Salzburg: From Austria, Salzburg earned 10 points along the way of the group stage. They won 3 games and tied 1, accumulating 10 points. This gives them a spot on the next round after ending up second on group G.

Juventus: 15 points for the Italians gave them a spot as the 8 teams that qualified first. From group H, they won 5 games and lost 1. They lost 4-0 to Chelsea but still ended up above them.

Chelsea: The Champions of Europe and the defenders of the titles, Chelsea had 13 points and for group H this means second place. They lost a game against Juventus and tied 3-3 against Zenit.
